Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Maria, has been banned from the Head of House lounge for two weeks. Big Brother announced this during the end of the debate task by the housemates on Friday, day 20 of the show. According to Big Brother, the Deputy Head of House, Maria, broke the rule of the Head of House room by inviting Peace and Liquorose into the room. Biggy said, “It is clearly stated that the Head of House bedroom is only available for the Head of House and the Deputy Head of House. “The privilege to invite a guest into the Head of House room hasn’t been extended to you. Yet you invited Liquorose and Peace into the space this evening. Is this so? Tokyo Olympics: FG to reward gold medalists with $15,000

The Federal Government has announced cash rewards of 15, 000 dollars, 10, 000 dollars, 7, 500 dollars for gold, silver and bronze medalists at the Tokyo Olympics respectively.   Simon Ebohdjaiye, Director, Federation and Elite Athletes Department (FEAD) , Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development made the announcement on Tuesday in Tokyo   He said the reward was an upward review from the initial amount announced due to the dedication of the athletes.   “Gold medallist will now be rewarded with 15, 000 dollars, while silver and bronze medal winners will each get 10, 000 dollars and 7, 500 dollars respectively. The Director said the gesture was to drive home the point that the Federal Government would always reward superlative performance.   The first recipients of the cash reward are Blessing Oborududu and Ese Brume after they won Silver and Bronze respectively.  

Nigeria’s apex bank chooses private Blockchain to run digital currency pilot on October 1, 2021

  The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has disclosed that it’ll launch the pilot scheme of its digital currency on October 1, 2021. According to  TheCable ,  CBN revealed this during a private webinar with stakeholders on Thursday, July 22, 2021.  The Apex bank  announced  earlier on June 10, 2021, that it would launch a pilot scheme for its digital currency before the end of the year.  Rakiya Mohammed, CBN Director of Information Technology, said, “Before the end of the year, the Central Bank will be making a special announcement and possibly launching a pilot scheme in order to be able to provide this kind of currency to the populace,” The Director also revealed that the project tagged GIANT will run on the Hyperledger Fabric Blockchain.                                    Hyperledger Fabric Blockchain The Hyperledger Fabric Blockchain is a private and permissioned ...
